How Does Pool Demolition Work?

Prime Demolition Bay Area's team members come anywhere in SF Bay Area to asses your pool demolition and discuss the best approach for the swimming pool demolition and removal.

Once we set on a budget, we will set a timeline for our entire work, we'll take of permits too.

First Step: Drain the pool

That can be done into the sewer system, or on a truck if necessary.

Second Step

Our demolition team will break the shell, and haul away debris for proper disposal and recycle.

All electrical, water and sewer lines are capped, electric components, including the one on the breaker box, are removed.

Third Step

We'll backfill the the excavated place with clean fill dirt, making sure the top two have clean dirt to accommodate new landscaping. We'll then compacted and grade the area to provide a firm foundation and steady footing for new construction.

What is Partial Pool Demolition?

California building codes require full demolition if you plan to build a structure on your former pool.

Partial pool demolition can be done for landscaping use, and would cost less.

For a partial pool demolition, 12 inches of gravel is laid to cover the bottom of the pool before the sides are demolished and mixed with clean fill dirt.

It would follow same electrical water requirements. Also the dirt is graded to provide solid footing that is suitable for landscaping or gardening.

If you plan to sell your home in the next 3-5 years we strongly recommend a full demolition.
